Medical treatment for tinnitus probably will not make your tinnitus go away, but, it may reduce it for a short while. The important thing to bear in mind is that medical treatment for tinnitus will not cure it permanently. Some of the medical treatments for tinnitus outlined above could well lower the symptoms for a time, but, they will not cure it permanently.
